Lakeside country house · Windermere, Lake District
Langdale Chase
A restored Victorian house on the shore of Windermere, with individually styled rooms and some of the best lake views in Cumbria.
Our review
Langdale Chase reopened after a careful restoration and the result is one of Windermere's most romantic addresses. The drawing rooms and gardens run down to the water, and the best bedrooms frame the lake like a painting.
The AA Rosette kitchen gives you a reason to stay in, though Ambleside is minutes away.
